About Us
Mahindra University Model United Nations: inaugural edition, 2026.
About MUMUN
MUMUN is the Model United Nations conference of Mahindra University in Hyderabad. Over three days in November 2026, students take on the roles of countries and committee members, debate global and national questions, and negotiate resolutions. It is open to high-school and university students from any institution.
Our vision
To give students a serious, welcoming place to practise diplomacy: researching a country, speaking for it, negotiating with people who disagree, and writing a resolution together.
What is Model UN?
Model United Nations is an educational simulation of the United Nations and other decision-making bodies. Each delegate is assigned a country or role, researches its policies and priorities, and represents it in committee.
In committee, delegates give speeches, take part in moderated and unmoderated caucuses, negotiate with other delegations, draft working papers and resolutions, and vote. It builds research, public speaking, writing and diplomacy skills.
